What is Kaikai?
We built Kaikai because the trip kept getting postponed.
Mokaikai means going in circles.
Not lost. Not stuck. The kind of circles akin to the merry-go-round, the ride you got on because it looked fun, not because you needed a reason.
That’s where Kaikai comes from.
Somewhere between childhood and now, we started needing reasons. A reason to take a break. A reason to go somewhere. A reason to spend the weekend away.
We built Kaikai to bring some of that back. Not the naivety of childhood — the freedom of it. The version where you go because something looks fun, and that’s reason enough.
Kaikai was built from a single observation: the women around us have the desire to travel, the income for it, the friends to do it with and still no trip on the calendar. It isn’t money. It isn’t time. It is almost, always the planning.
So we made it our job. Gaborone-based, Southern Africa-specialized. We work the region we live in. We recommend only what we trust; the lodge we’ve slept at, the knowledgable guide, the chef we keep going back to.
Kaikai isn’t a booking platform. It is a platform (friend) that knows the answer to the question you were about to ask.
